NEW 2026 WORKSHOP!

"THE FLOW OF TAI CHI:
WEN AND WU"

COMING THIS SUMMER!

Tai Chi needs no introduction. It is practised by millions around the world

and you may already be one of them.

But have you ever noticed something intriguing?

Even when two practitioners perform the same style, the same

sequence, and the same techniques… something feels different. The

movements may match, yet the energy – the presence – cannot be more

dissimilar.

So what creates this difference?

More often than not, it is the ‘flow’ of Tai Chi! Like all great arts, Tai Chi

allows for diversity. But there is structure and framework to this diversity.

One such structure is the two essential qualities: Wen (文) and Wu (武) –

the civil and martial aspects of the art.

This summer, we invite you to explore these deeper dimensions.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How can I pay for the course?
A Paypal invoice will be sent to you.  Just follow the instructions therein to settle.  Paypal is able to convert most currencies.  If you are based in the UK, we will send you our bank details instead.  Upon confirmation of settlement, your place in the course will be secured.
  • What program will you be using?
We will be using Zoom. You can download the app for free on their website ( https://zoom.us ) or access the meeting via your browser.  Please check the Zoom website for technical assistance.
  • How does the workshop work for online participants?
All you need is a computer/tablet/phone with camera function, an internet connection and the privacy of a room.  A Zoom passcode and meeting id will be sent to you beforehand.  When it is time for the workshop, just log in via your Zoom app or your browser.
  • Do you need to see me on Zoom?
Yes, this is so we can see if you are practising correctly.  We can immediately point out any major mistakes.
  • We are a couple.  Can we log in as one Zoom participant?
Yes, but you need to let us know beforehand.  We would also need to be able to see you both in the camera.  For your information, the workshop cost is per person.
  • Can you help me with the technical side?
Unfortunately, we are unable to assist in technical issues.  It is your responsibility to make sure your computer, camera and internet connection work during the workshop.
  • Can I record the workshop?
No recording of any kind is allowed. However, you can take notes with pen and paper.
  • Can I re-watch the workshop later?
No, this workshop will be live broadcasting.  It allows us to watch people practising and give feedbacks immediately.
  • What do I need to wear?
    Nothing special. Just comfortable clothes.
  • What do I need to prepare?
    Nothing.
  • Do I need a big room?
No. For this workshop, all you need is a small but reasonable area to train in.
  • What happens if I want to move my attendance to another workshop date?
For online participants, that is fine. But you need to inform us early. For studio attendance, you would need to check with us first. Our studio is fixed size so there is a limit to our in-person attendance. You may need to switch to online participation.
  • What happens if I cannot attendance the workshop at the last-minute? (Last-minute means within a week prior to the workshop day.)
We do not refund in such cases.  Instead, we can hold any remaining amount as credit.  You may then use that credit for our other association events and services such as our class, private tuition and workshops.
